Bernardo Errázuriz


Bernardo Errázuriz earned his architecture degree and a diploma in Public Relations from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. He also holds a Master's degree from the Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez.

Mr. Errázuriz has extensive experience in higher education, having performed different leadership positions in the fields of academic development and institutional governance. During his career, Mr. Errázuriz has led teams in the development of innovative educational projects and programs, as well as accreditation processes and quality assurance initiatives.

He has played an essential part in the growth of the DUOC UC educational project from 1986 to the present year, where began as the Director of the School of Design and later occupied the positions of Secretary General, Vice-Rector Academic, and Vice Chancellor of Communications.

Julian van der Westhuizen

Julian van der Westhuizen is the CEO and a director of Milpark Education.

His qualifications include Baccalaureus Rekeningkunde, University of Stellenbosch, BCompt (Hons), University of South Africa, and Certificate in the Theory of Accountancy, University of South Africa.

He qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1997 and went straight into private practice.

From 1987 to 2003, Julian was the senior partner in a Cape Town auditing practice. He negotiated with Moore Stephens London for the right to establish a South African network of Moore Stephens audit firms in 2003, ultimately growing the firm to the 9th largest in South Africa based on fees.

Julian was also previously a Registered Auditor and accredited to conduct audits of JSE listed companies. He is a Director on the Board of Trustees for Dance for All, a non-profit organization.

Since he invested in Milpark in 2010, Julian has grown Milpark Education into a leading business education institution in South Africa.

Julian’s expertise in finding innovative financial solutions, and his knowledge of tax, structures and transactions has assisted himin meeting the complex business challenges of growing a competitive and relevant educational brand in the contemporary business environment.

It is his vision to grow Milpark into the leading business education provider on the African continent.

Raymond Rosal

Rector, IACC Professional Institute

Raymond Rosal has been the Rector of the IACC, Professional Institute, since 2013. The institution  was the pioneer and current leader of the 100% online education industry. Mr. Rosal has over 11 years of professional experience working for Apollo Group and Apollo Global, implementing higher education projects for online institutions across North and Latin America.

Between 2005 and 2008, he worked as the in the Enrollment  Department for the University of Phoenix in the Latin America division. In 2008 and 2009 he was in charge of implementing the online education modality for the Meritus University of Canada. In 2010 he arrived in Chile to work as the Director of Student services and Enrollment  Department, providing support to the online education modality for all the institutions that are part of Apollo Global in Chile where his main focus was the IACC Professional Institute, where he had the chance to implement and optimize all their institutional processes. During his tenure as the Rector of IACC, the number of students in the institution increased by 400%, consolidating the institution as the one with the highest rate of growth in the education industry in Chile.

Mr. Rosal acquired an Arts degree with a major in Psychology at the University of Tennessee, and obtained an MBA from the University of Phoenix.

Nic Cola

Prior to joining Open Colleges, Mr. Cola held a number of senior management positions at Fairfax Media, including CEO of Fairfax Media’s Marketplaces division in which he had responsibility for a number of iconic digital assets, including Drive, Domain, RSVP and Stayz.

Prior to this, Mr. Cola was COO of the Fairfax Digital, which included the online sites of the Sydney Morning Herald and The Age. He played a significant role in leading revenue and profit growth in that capacity. He has also consulted on digital strategy for a number of clients in Australia, South East Asia and Europe.

Mr. Cola has served on a number of boards including the Stayz Group, the Australian Multimedia Industry Association and the Interactive Advertising Bureau of Australia where he was a founding board member and Chairman.

Ralf Peters

Ralf Peters is the newly appointed President and General Director of Apollo Global Mexico and Central America, responsible for overseeing the Universidad Latinoamericana business in Mexico and for implementing Apollo Global´s growth strategy in the region.

Mr. Peters comes with 7 years of experience at Laureate Education where he was Chief Operating Officer at Universidad del Valle de Mexico, where he led its growth from 28,000 students to 65,000 students and from 12 to 22 campuses all over Mexico. Subsequently he held a similar position at Universidade Anhembi Morumbi in Sao Paulo, Brazil, where he oversaw the integration process between that newly acquired university and Laureate.

In addition to his career in the Education Sector, Mr. Peters spent 18 years in the financial sector, holding CEO positions at ING´s and in BBVA Bancomer´s, pension funds management businesses in Mexico and Vice President positions at Citicorp Mexico and at Multivalores brokerage house.

Mr. Peters started his professional career as a consultant at McKinsey and Co. He holds a B.S. degree in Industrial Engineering from Universidad Iberoamericana and an M.B.A from the University of Chicago. He is fluent in Spanish, German, English and Portuguese.

Luiz Silveira Filho

Mr. Silveria Filho has been the CEO at FAEL since 2012, where he has grown the institution from a small distance learning college of approximately 10,000 students to Brazil’s leading distance learning institution with more than 35,000 students today.

Mr. Silveria Filho has been in the education and technology industry since 1999, when he founded EDUCON - Technology in Education Ltd. At EDUCON, he developed a distance learning teacher training project in partnership with State Universities, and its first distance learning program in 2000.

In 2001, Mr. Silveria Filho launched EDUCON’s first online Executive MBA with University of São Paulo with a network of classroom support centers in Brazil, which later became a model for the Brazilian distance learning market. As executive director (until 2007), EDUCON became Brazil's largest distance education group, serving more than 100,000 students with presence in 1,000 cities. Subsequently, Mr. Silveria Filho was the Director of the Distance Education Center of Tuiuti (TEN – Tuiuti Education Network) in 2008, offering courses and seminars throughout Brazil via satellite. During this time, Mr. Silveria Filho participated in the development of the first Brazilian distance learning training course for teachers.

Sven Schuett

Chief Executive Officer, Career Partner Group

Dr. SChuett joined CPG in Fall 2010. Previously, Dr. Schuett was Managing Director of the Hertie School of Governance, a private University based in Berlin with over 50 % of international students and a very strong growth path.

From 2005 to 2008, Dr. Schuett developed and implemented the reform of the German public employment service – one of the biggest and most successful reforms in the public sector in Europe. Amongst others, the German public employment service is the largest provider of further education with a yearly budget of € 10 billion p.a.

Beforehand, Dr. Schuett worked as a Consultant at McKinsey&Co focusing on engagements in the service sector.

He graduated in physics and philosophy and has completed his PhD at the Max Planck Institute of Neurobiology on Learning and Development in 2001.
