President, Apollo Global, Inc.
Mr. Patel joined Apollo Global from Kaplan, Inc., where he was President of the Kaplan Professional Publishing and Kaplan Professional Schools divisions. Prior to joining Kaplan, Mr. Patel served in various leadership positions with Thomson Learning (now Cengage Learning).
Vice President of Operations
As Vice President of Operations, Ms. Craigo is responsible for supporting expansion of Apollo Global; from integrating new entities, driving organic growth initiatives, optimizing business processes and sharing best practices throughout the network. Ms. Craigo has been integral in Apollo's international ventures since 2001 when she began her career with University of Phoenix's Online International Division. She led the development of the university's expansion in Latin America and the Caribbean with fully Online programs, and directed the creation and launch of a Spanish language MBA. Ms. Craigo joined Apollo Global at its inception in 2007 as VP of Integration and later VP of Program Management.
Prior to joining Apollo, Ms. Craigo worked and studied in Spain, and taught Community College and High School Spanish. Ms. Craigo holds a B.A. in Spanish from the University of Arizona, a M.A. in Hispanic Civilization from New York University and a Master of Management International from University of Phoenix.
Vice President of Student Engagement
Marissa Vega is Vice President of International Enrollment for Apollo Global. Ms. Vega is responsible for student acquisition and student services operations in the Apollo Global network of institutions as well as oversees implementation of global strategies, best practice sharing, training, corporate engagement and system optimization. Ms. Vega has successively increased responsibilities building a diverse operational work experience in Higher Education in the areas of enrollment, student services, business analysis, coaching, training, operational management, business development, and process improvement.
Ms. Vega has been with Apollo Group, Inc. since 1996 when she began her career within its largest business unit, the University of Phoenix. During her tenure at the University, she expanded operations into new markets, mentored campus transitions into new modality offerings, and participated in several national advisory committees regarding policy implementation and strategic planning. Prior to the University of Phoenix, she obtained diverse work experience in investments, import-export, and hotel remodeling.
Ms. Vega holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from University of Arizona, and a Masters in Business Administration with a specialization in Global Management from the University of Phoenix.
